CARBURETOR: One Barrel, 18 Millimeter
TRANSMISSION: 3 Speed Manual Shift on the Left Grip
BRAKES: Front and Rear Drum
WHEELS/TIRES: 8” Wheels / 3.50” X 8” Tires
ELECTRICAL: 6 Volts, No Battery, All electrical components run off a stator.
TOP SPEED: 45-Miles Per Hour (Approximate)
GAS MILEAGE:100-Miles Per Gallon (Approximate)
DIMENSIONS: 66” Long, 33” Wide, 37” High, 189 lbs.<br>“VESPA” MEANING: “Wasp”, the buzzing of the engine sounded like a wasp to the inventor. Also, the view from behind resembles that of a wasp.
This model was never sold in the US.
It was brought over by someone in the military.
I am 85% sure I am the third owner.
This is a complete nut & bolt restoration.
The engine was sent to ScooterWorks in Chicago and rebuilt by an Italian fellow who was a Vespa mech. in Italy.
He knew what he was doing as it fired up as soon as gas hit the carb.!!
There was no rust on this (other than a little surface rust) when I started.
It was also about 98% complete so that made it easier.
