OIL PAN ON A WORLD CASTINGS BIG BLOCK CHEVY

I am in the process of building an L-88 for my '67 RS/SS Camaro. I bought a World Castings Merlin III block NEW from the factory warehouse.I've got the shortblock just about done.To my surprise I can NOT put a stock 5-quart pan on the engine. I have gotten one from Ricks First Gen Camaro parts and one from Moroso..What is happeneing is that either this block was made on a late Friday night...or early on a Monday morning.!!!The back of the pan hits the back of the main cap and oil pump housing so it won't let the pan come forward enough. When I take the rear main cap off..it fits.It is definitely not hitting the sump.Tried it without the pump/sump on and it still hits.Any readers out there have ANY suggestions..or may have heard of this issue before?? The people up at World Castings are denying that there is a problem...not their block..they have quality control....bla bla bla. The Merlin III is raised on the block casting .and the block had their  packaging on it..LOL ANY suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated !!!!!
